Dave, apologies for the delay on your comments being moderated and approved. Unfortunately we have to do this because of spammers posting links.

In answer to your comments, the original piece was regarding the simply lazy nature of the movie reviewers in slagging off on the movie and Tom Cruise based on his connection to Scientology and other things.

The piece was neither an attack nor a defense of Scientology and in fact was not about Scientology at all.

It was intended as a commentary for what seems to be a recurring theme in the media these days of whipping up the sensationally irrelevant to pass judgment on some disrelated thing.

It appears that a response I left here earlier is being censored...is the writer of this blog perhaps a Scientologist, uncabable (indeed, not even allowed) to openly discuss his religion?

"I think if I were going to offer a public opinion on Scientology I’d read one of the books L. Ron Hubbard published and form my own opinions and express those"

Could I suggest you Google 'wikileaks scientology'? There is a lot of leaked internal material on there. It's uncohesive ramblings of a madman and very difficult to get through, but I once picked one of the documents and forced myself to read the whole of it. The document was called the 'false purpose rundown'. What I understood the gest to be is that 20% of the population is psychotic (including government people and journalists), which is the result of unconfessed crimes they have, which in turn are directly or indirectly the result of psychiatrists. And yes, it is a authentic document, and no, I am not joking.

You attack Scientology critics for being misinformed, but Scientology is under government observation in France, Belgium, Russia and Germany and banned in Greece. These governments are uninformed too, I reckon?

It would be nice if you would make a blog entry about what you think of this 'false purpose rundown' document or any other leaked document on wikileaks.

I am not sure if I worded my response nice enough, but I hope I challenged you to actually read Scientology scripture before attacking their critics.

Thanks,
an apparantly very misinformed Scientology critic.
