There are not many voices of reason out there – or that’s what the mainstream media wants us to think – and it seems like all the news is about how Congress is working with Obama for ‘change’. April Fool’s Day Came And Went…

We missed it. Damn! Well, there’s always next year… There have been some classic pranks pulled on this day in the past but for sheer style I don’t think this offering from the BBC in 1957 can be beaten. Some things I don’t like about Taiwan…

There’re not many but here’s one: I went to our local park today, a park which has a very nice ornamental bridge and a large lake where people fish – but stuck in front of this lake at every vantage point were large signs that said (in translation): “If you have come here to commit suicide by drowning please call this number below. Life is good and worth living. Don’t do it!
