WHY PLAYING XBOX360 IS GOOD!
Because it just is.
Well since I’m paid to write a good, full explanation…wait…I’m not getting paid…oh well…
This is for all those kids out there whose parents say that videogames are bad, I give you a genius excuse!!!
WHAT PARENTS SAY…
1: It’s a waste of time.
Kind of true, sure maybe there’s something better to do and maybe getting away from the TV so you don’t get radiation poisoning once in a while is good, so, just say something like “ok, ok, I will spend 30 minutes a day outside walking around, that’s good right?” or even better offer to help around the house, that will end the argument instantly, parents love it when kids help clean in the house or mow the lawn once a week.
2: It’s offers no education whatsoever.
Not really, I realized that I actually learn things from video games, like the COD series gives a good insight of the Second World War and most of the things in the game are accurate.
Example: In the Second World War the Japanese did some pretty interesting things like booby trap dead bodies, kamikaze and have a group of soldiers lie in the grass or play dead then throw a flash grenade to blind enemies then suddenly get up and attack, also, when some people see this in games they get interested and look up the facts or ask about them, like when I was playing a game about Greek, Norse and Egyptian gods I became interested and asked my dad about it, then we spent a hour talking about all the different gods and beliefs of that time.
So, in short, ether directly or indirectly, you usually learn some interesting things from video games.
3: It’s disgustingly violent.
Completely and utterly true, most games are extremely violent but since it’s all fake I don’t see what bad effect it can have.
4: It causes kids to become violent.
This has got to be the most pathetic excuse of bad parenting I have ever seen. If the parent has so little communication and control over their own kids that they begin to think being violent like in video games is cool then that’s pretty sad and most kids aren’t really dumb enough to think that anyway, but if your parents think this then just have a nice talk with them saying that your not dumb enough to do stuff like that, remember, it doesn’t work if you’re angry when you say this.
5: They become reclusive and stop making friends.
Two words, Xbox Live, Since I am home schooled I didn’t get a chance to make many friends but Xbox Live seriously made me happier, I don’t even play online that much but I always talk to my friends when I get online, but kids who have xbox live around the age of 9 to 13 are the rudest little s**ts on the planet because they swear so much it doesn’t even make sense and they think that’s cool, so, if a kid around that age is playing Xbox too much and not talking to friends then just make sure they go out and for the love of god don’t get them Xbox Live until they are older or more intelligent.
6: They do bad things shown in the game.
Like number 4, The kid would have to pretty dumb to imitate something bad in the game, but there are good things to be influenced by in games.
Example: When I was playing the game Fable 2 I began to like dogs more and more until I ended up giving some dog food to a stray puppy and the group of strays he follows.
7: They play for too long.
Indeed some kids really do play way too much, so, I’m sorry but if your parents are bothering you and you really are playing way too much and it’s stopping you from doing stuff you’re supposed to do then you can try the tips from number one but you may have to cut back a bit.
Why playing Xbox360 is good: because it gives the kid a fun thing to do when they are bored and it’s a excellent way to relive stress by going into a virtual world and randomly abolishing cities.
It also provides online opportunities to meet new people and make some good friends.
It does actually have some educational value.
If the kids smart and the parents have good control, the kid will only play after he’s finished things he’s supposed to do and won’t be influenced by video games.
